I have tried writing this post so many times this week and I have no idea where to begin.

It has been such a difficult time for my family and we are still trying to make sense of everything that has happened. I would like to thank our friends and family for your cards, letters, phone calls and donations to her memorial fund as well as the ladies at SWPM for everything you all have done for us.

I would also like to thank Faith Massey of Images by Faith and the NILMDTS organization for giving my family a wonderful rememberance of Zoey and for providing some normalcy at such a tragic time. Zoey was in our arms for only moments. She will be in our hearts forever.

What a beautiful day they had...with the hurricane looming over the Carolinas threating to dampen the weather, we got lucky and the storm missed the Charlotte area completely and the weather was perfect! I was worried at first, since my two children are older, that I would not feel comfortable, but I have really enjoyed spending time with these ladies. I first met the Vargas family at a birthday party for Carlos earleir this summer. Vivian was pergnant with little Benjamin and family and friends came from near and far to celebrate his life. The thing that amazed me the most, was that he had friends whom he had known since he was five there. To me, that speaks volumes about the man he is and the love they have for him. We did another session on Thanksgiving day and again it was truly evident how much love this family has for one another.

Ryan is soo special to me. I did his mom's maternity shots and was at the hospital with them when Ryan was born. The first time I held him, he was only about 20 minutes old. his first year has been well documented and it's been so much fun watching him grow.
